Parklakes2 at Bli Bli has buyers flocking to try and get their hands on a piece of one of the Sunshine Coasts newest master planned communities.
62 out of the 98 lots sold instantly when released earlier this year.
Rob Midgely – spokesman for Parklakes2 said that demand had exceeded supply for the first time in a very long time, with contractors finding it hard to keep up with the pace of the rates of sale.
Mr Midgley said “From the moment we launched the project we have been inundated with inquiry from people keen to live in this semi-rural community. The idea of purchasing a large lot in a quality neighbourhood and still have easy access to local shops, schools, medical facilities and sports precincts is proving to be a major attraction.”
“Demand from buyers is at unprecedented levels, we are fielding inquiries from a range of buyers on a daily basis and our conversion rate is currently around one in five which is staggering,” he said.
Demand for new home sites on the Sunshine Coast is heating up with the Bli Bli residential community of Parklakes set for 189 new homes with a combined value of $88 million set for construction over the next six months.
Mr Midgley believes a number of factors were driving the strong demand including lack of land to build a new home – along with rising consumer confidence, low interest rates and a desire to live in a well located community like Bli Bli.
“I believe the biggest factor is our ability to fast track civil works to ensure land is ready to meet market demand. We have level blocks of land which are ready to build on and combined with more than 30 hectares of park and three huge fish-stocked lakes ensures that Parklakes is a community of choice,” he said.
Mr Midgley said the vast majority of buyers at Parklakes were Sunshine Coast locals with more than 80% of land sold to owner occupiers keen to make Parklakes their home for the long term.
“Another pleasing aspect is that we have sold 14 lots in Parklakes 2 to existing Parklakes residents who are either currently renting or have sold their home to upsize or downsize depending on their circumstances.
The Parklakes 2 master-planned community will feature a one-hectare central park that includes a covered playground and waterfront café, a fish-stocked lake, kilometres of walkways and easy access to 20ha of forest.
