We are very excited here at Blue Wave Property Strategies, with the introduction of NightQuater the Award Winning Street food, night markets and entertainment about to arrive on the Sunshine Coast.
NightQuarter is a unique blend of street food, community and culture. It’s an ever-evolving festival with a kaleidoscope of different experiences, flavours and sounds every weekend. With an ethos of shared eating, shared experience and shared conversation, the shipping container urban playground is set to open at Birtinya on the Sunshine Coast in late 2019 and become a place for the local community to congregate.
The history of NightQuarter, opened in Helensvale on Town Centre Drive in November 2015 and was heralded as “the answer to the northern Gold Coast’s resounding cry for a cultural revolution.”
For just over three years, foodies and music lovers delighted in the Northern Gold Coast’s NightQuarter night markets. It quickly became one of the city’s most iconic food and music destinations.
Every weekend thousands of locals and tourists flocked to the precinct to experience the best in street food, authentic eats, market stalls and live entertainment.
Think Mediterranean back alleys meets street food culture, and you have NightQuarter. With a kaleidoscope of global flavours, upcycled shipping containers, string lights, street art, astro turf, stages and over 100 regional vendors within the creative playground.
The venue closed on the 1st February 2019 after failing to reach an agreement with landlord Scentre over a 200% rent increase. The final night at NightQuarter featured a sold out show with the UK’s UB40.
